Who is responsible

The data controller for The Artificial Notes is suffro. For privacy-related requests, use the contact options on the suffro GitHub profile.

Data processed

This is a static website. It has no accounts, comments, contact forms, or newsletter, and it does not intentionally collect information directly from visitors.

Like any website, its delivery and security infrastructure may process technical request data such as IP address, date and time, requested resource, browser information, and security events. This processing is necessary to serve and protect the website and is based on the controller's legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable publication.

Cloudflare

The site uses Cloudflare for content delivery, security, and privacy-focused Web Analytics. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures aggregate page usage and performance. According to Cloudflare, its analytics beacon does not access or store cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, or other browser storage, does not track visitors across sites, and discards the source IP address at the nearest Cloudflare data center rather than storing it in its analytics systems. This processing is based on the controller's legitimate interest in understanding aggregate site usage and performance without building individual visitor profiles. Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area. Cloudflare states that it uses the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses, as applicable, for international transfers. See Cloudflare's privacy policy and Data Processing Addendum.

Cloudflare documents that unsampled Web Analytics beacon data is retained for seven days before aggregation, while analytics reports may remain available for up to six months. Security and delivery data is retained according to Cloudflare's applicable settings, policies, and legal obligations.

Cookies

The site does not use advertising, profiling, or optional analytics cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use browser storage, so no consent banner is currently shown. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies when required to provide security or network functions; these do not require prior consent but are disclosed here.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.

Because the site does not maintain visitor accounts or analytics profiles, it may not be possible to associate aggregate analytics data with a particular visitor. There is no automated decision-making or profiling.

This policy will be updated if the site's services or data-processing practices change.
